How would you like to be seen at our practice?

Our aim is to help you to become as healthy as you choose to be in a relaxed, caring and friendly environment.

There are 4 levels of care you may choose to follow:

Level 1 - Emergency care:
If you are in need of emergency care we endeavour to see all our registered patients immediately and all other patients as soon as is practicable.

Level 2 - Consultation:
If you wish to have one specific problem sorted out we can arrange a consultation to look at that problem and then arrange another appointment to carry out treatment.

Levels 1 and 2, carried out in isolation without any form of examination does not allow Dr. Andrews to take the problem into context with the overall state of your mouth. She cannot therefore give her best advice by incorporating the specific problem into an overall treatment plan. It is a short-term fix and does not give long-term predictable results. However, if this is all you choose or are ready for; she is more than happy to provide this service.

Level 3 - Examination:
A thorough examination is carried out of your teeth, gums and supporting tissues. This level of care provides excellent treatment, however, for most people even greater long term results and better predictability can be achieved with our level 4 care.

Level 4 - Comprehensive Exam:
This includes everything in level 3 plus a comprehensive examination of the joints muscles and occlusion [bite]. This examination is then usually followed by either splint therapy and/ or a detailed analysis of the occlusion on an articulator [a piece of equipment which simulates the jaws]. From here we can aim to restore the mouth into a position of harmony and thus attain long lasting results with predictability.

Level 4 care is for patients who are interested in treating the cause of their dental disease rather than just the effects. They want all treatment to be provided in the most long lasting fashion possible and are happy to take an active role in their achievement of optimal dental health.
