Botulium toxin works by preventing nerve impulses from reaching the muscle; therefore the muscles “relax”. Botulium toxin is the most common facial cosmetic treatment currently used worldwide, and has been used for many years by both men and women as part of facial aesthetic procedures to restore a youthful look.

The injections are virtually painless and the results usually last for six to nine months.

Dermal fillers
Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that exists naturally in all living organisms and is an essential component of connective tissues, including skin. Hyaluronic acid has been used to treat joint pain for years. As it is natural and of non-animal origin, there is no chance of allergic reactions.

Dermal fillers are injected with a fine needle to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. They can also be used to enhance the lips to give them a fuller appearance.

The procedure takes around 30 minutes and the results can be seen almost immediately. The effects of dermal fillers can last up to a year, but this depends on your age, skin type, lifestyle and muscle activity. The most commonly reported side effects are redness, itching or swelling around the injection site for a few days.

Over time, dermal fillers break down naturally and are replaced with water, so as to gradually produce no adverse symptoms.
